Ex.11-4/6, 12-3/8, v29/30. The sprinkled Blood of the Lamb of sacrifice, on doorposts and lintel, in the shape of a triangle, =man reaching up to GOD,= thus saving all the firstborn of Israel, but the Egyptians, who knew not GOD, lost all their first born, both of man and beast. The sacrifice was made beforehand, and at Midnight, Judgement fell. This was the first Passover!, a Sacrifice which was to be kept every year by Israel for their sins.
Luke 22-7/13 24-1/7; JESUS was the fulfilment of the Passover Sacrifice when He died in our stead for our sins.
He was crucified on a Cross, and the points of Blood from His hands and feet represent another triangle = GOD reaching down to man. These two triangles superimposed make up the Star of David, the national symbol of Israel today, who are still in unbelief. It is likely that JESUS arose at Midnight, broke the gates and bars of HELL,
Rev.1-18, and led “captivity captive”, Eph.4-8/10, the spirits of all those who had died, from righteous Abel to the dying thief, who until the price was paid were confined in the Earth, Luke 17-19 -. When JESUS arose triumphant over sin, death & Hell, He took all the righteous dead with Him up to the gates of Heaven, which were locked fast after Adam sinned, and demanded that they “Open!” Ps.24 -7/10, and He swept into the presence of the Father and said “Behold I and the children whom Thou hast given Me”, Isa.8-18.
Jonah 2 is a prophetic experience of what JESUS endured in His 3 days and nights in the heart of the Earth
Jud.16-1/3 Samson lay with an harlot ‘til Midnight; his enemies locked the gates, they thought they had him, but he took the gate posts and the gates and carried them away, leaving the city open and defenceless. Here he is a type of our LORD, who ministered to sinners, and when Satan thought he had Him locked up in Hell, He arose in Mighty Power, wrested the keys of Hell and of death from Satan, Rev.-1-18, and gave us the victory.1 Cor.15/57.
Ruth 3-8. A marriage arranged at Midnight. Boaz marries Ruth, a Moabitess, a wonderful type of JESUS, rejected by His own people, and finds a Bride amongst the Gentiles. (as Joseph did). The royal line comes thru’ Ruth.
1 Kings 3-20 The true son stolen at Midnight. By Solomon’s wisdom, he was restored to the true mother.
JESUS warned that false Christs would arise in the last days, but there is only one true Son of God. Matt.24-5.
Job 34-20 Judgment comes at Midnight. Judges 7-19 The mighty victory that Gideon and his 300 men won over the Midianites began at Midnight when they blew their trumpets and showed their lights and cried out “The Sword of the LORD and of Gideon” and slew 120,000. So should we do also! (120,000 slain in the Spirit?)
Matt.25-6 The Bridegroom cometh at Midnight for His Bride, who is already in the house. The virgins, her companions, go out to meet the Bridegroom, 5 wise and 5 foolish. JESUS always emphasized the need to be ready, to watch, wait and pray. Mark 13-32/37, lest coming suddenly, maybe at Midnight, He find us sleeping.
Luke 11-5 Provision made at Midnight; GOD answers our earnest supplications in time of need, and responds with the “Bread of Life”. The 3 loaves suggest the fullness of the GODHEAD, FATHER, SON & HOLY SPIRIT.
Acts 16-25/26 At Midnight, having been unjustly beaten and locked in jail in the stocks, Paul & Silas prayed and sang praises unto GOD; GOD answered with an Earthquake! Result, gates opened, jailer & family saved. We need an earth shattering spiritual earthquake to loose people bound by Satan and to bring them into Salvation !!!
Acts 20-7/10 Resurrection at Midnight! Paul preached ‘til Midnight, a Young man fell 3 stories, Paul raised him.
As we approach the World’s Midnight hour, let us be vigilant for it is a time of Judgment against sin to the unbeliever, but of Victory and Salvation, Praise and Worship, Resurrection and Marriage for GOD’S people !.
