THE GLORY OF PSALM 24

Here we see JESUS, HAVING COMPLETED His work of Redemption on the Cross, spent 3 days in the grave, fought and defeated SATAN, and taken from him the keys of death and Hell – Rev. 1-18, now ascends to Heaven, Demanding that the Gates be opened unto Him.

Now the Gates of Heaven had been securely locked ever since Adam sinned, and no man had entered Heaven,  excepting  GOD’S 3 Witnesses, Enoch, who walked with GOD for 300 years and then GOD took him up (a type of those who go alive to glory without dying), and Moses, whose body was resurrected by the angel Michael, (Jude v9) and Elijah, who went up to Heaven in a chariot of fire.

And the answer comes. The Lord of Hosts, He is the King of Glory~! Jesus, now having completed in full the work of redemption, having the keys of Hades, has opened the prison house, also called “Abraham’s Bosom”, the place somewhere in the Earth where all the saved children of God were kept in confinement, resting until the price was paid, and now they are released and JESUS leads these hosts through the gates into eternal glory.

This Psalm gives a wonderful picture of the Redeeming Work of our Blessed Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! I trust it will be a blessing to all who read it.
