GOD’S  GLORIOUS  PURPOSE

Gen. 1-26/31  GOD creates man in His own Image;  as He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, so we are spirit, soul and body. 

The words in the Greek are as follows:-

Ref. 4151 “pneuma”, breath, figuratively a spirit, corresponding with our spirit, often thought of in relation to our heart (ref.2588 Kardia, the heart).    
Ref. 5590 “psuche” = life, mind, soul;  i.e. the human soul, the seat of our mind, will and emotions.      
Ref. 4987 “soma” + a sound body, the temple in which our spirit & soul lives in this life.  
We need to have a clear distinction in our minds of the functions of the spirit and soul; the soul has to do with earthly matters, and it is in our spirits that we come into vital contact with our GOD.

Gen.3-21-24 Result of man’s fall.  1 Cor.15-44/45 Adam became a living soul. (his spirit became dormant.)           

Eph. 3-8/12;  GOD’S Eternal Purpose was not frustrated by Adam’s sin; GOD had foreseen that in giving free will to men and angels, the possibility of sin;   for Lucifer and those with him who sinned there was no redemption,  but for us GOD  had made provision–

1 Pet. 1-19/20; GOD would incarnate His Own Son to become one with us, and in dying in our stead, not only reconcile us but restore us to the intimate spiritual relationship He had planned from the beginning. Thus the Cross became the central factor of this age.  GOD would have a family of His own to Love, a body,  a glorious company thru’ whom HE could express Himself thru’ all the ages to come.

1 Col.1-13/20, John 14-23.        Rom.8-19/29 The promised restoration. This is the glory of our High Calling in Christ Jesus our Saviour.

We move from eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to eating of the Tree of Life. Man in his carnal state can never understand the mysteries of the Kingdom, that’s why in his vain attempts to explain Creation he puts forth his futile and totally false doctrines of evolution and the “big bang”.

GOD”S Purpose is all summed up in John 17-21/26.

Our way is Personal, salvation by faith in JESUS CHRIST, the SON.  Practical,  our life & witness by the

Holy Spirit, and Prophetical, Love of GOD and Hope of our glorious future Inheritance.
